Toy Angels

When children hear about Santa’s naughty and nice list, they may try very hard to be nice. If Santa can send elves or someone to watch, why can’t an angel also come down during the Christmas season to help children learn kindness? That’s the idea behind Toy Angels, a new invention by Carol Armstrong.

Carol noted that children know that Santa Claus comes each year on Christmas to reward good children. But, she wondered if an angel could come to Earth, too, to help kids of all ages make more of an effort to be kind. She wanted something new and unique to help children learn kindness. And, she remembered that angels aren’t born with wings, they have to earn them.

Suddenly, Carol was inspired. What if a small angel, one that is trying to earn its wings, comes to earth and needs a child to help them get wings through kindness? Could the angel ask a child to help them earn their wings by doing kind deeds? Enter Toy Angels, a special new invention to help children be kind around the holidays.

Teach Your Child Kindness and Help an Angel Get Its Wings!

How does the Toy Angel work? Each darling doll has a small golden halo and a sweet smile on its face. The angel comes with a small notebook and pencil, a set of attachable wings, and instructions for the child and parent. The parent gives the child the Toy Angel but not the wings. The parent places the wings in a safe place.

In order to help the angel get their wings, the child must do something kind each day for 24 days. The Toy Angel may be used at any time of year, not just around Christmastime. Every day, the child does something kind and then writes it down in the notebook what they did and for whom. The parent may review the good deeds with the child or remind the child to do something kind each day.

On the evening of the 24th day (such as Christmas Eve), the child places the notebook underneath their pillow. The mother angel will come in the night, look at their kindness journal, and then decide if the child has done enough kind acts to help the little Toy angel earn their wings. If the Mother angel decides that the child has been kind enough, she will leave a pair of wings underneath the child’s pillow.

In the morning, the child attaches the wings to the Toy Angel to celebrate all the kindness shared with others this holiday season.
