How It Works

Each angel comes with a small notebook, pencil, wings, and instructions. Every holiday season, the angel comes to earn their wings and an adult puts the wings in a safe keeping place. The child is told they need to do an act of kindness every day for 24 days and then write about it in their notebook each night. On the 24th night, the notebook is placed under the child’s pillow. This is a very special night, because it’s the night the Mother Angel will come from Heaven and read the notebook. If she approves and feels the child has earned their wings, she takes the notebook and leaves the wings under their pillow. In the morning, the child will find the wings and attach them to their angel in recognition of all their many acts of kindness that holiday season.

Story Behind the Invention

Hi, Moms and Dads. My name is Carol. I am an ordinary human living in an ordinary house with my husband, grown son, and my granddaughter. Her friends call me Grandma, which is fine with me. There are times when we may have one or two sleeping over, having dinner, or just visiting. We practice kindness in our house.

I love being creative. For the past few years, I have been obsessed with anticipating the coming of the little guy from the North Pole. One day, I thought if a little guy comes from the North Pole to convince children to be good, why can’t an angel come to Earth to guide children to be kind? My imagination ran wild. Why would an angel come to Earth? We have all heard that when a bell rings, an angel gets their wings. I have always believed a bell rings when a kind act occurs. I asked myself if an angel could come to meet a child and ask them to help by doing a series of kind acts. In turn, I was inspired to create Toy Angels!
